Going first where others only talk about doing. Ann Moura keeps delivering the punches and considerable knowledge with this later book in her encyclopedic range of data. No seeker of the esoteric, occult or just plain good old green witchery should be without this book along with her others in their library collection. One can never be well read enough. I am truly grateful for this elder's compendium of knowledge and in her willingness to share with others as some of us walk a solitary path out of necessity.
I ordered several books this week. A few I wished I did not order after I got them. But this is one I am very glad that I did order.
Quite a good reference, Aoumiel does such a great job with the Mansions. This book is not for the novice as you will need to be fairly advanced in the craft to follow but it is well worth the time if you are.Blessed Be....
According to the author, "This is not a book of nineteenth century ceremonialism, nor one of medieval magic, but one that incorporates elements of each into a uniquely harmonious practice of modern witchcraft." Although I've enjoyed several of her other books, as well as The Green Witch Tarot, unfortunately this one doesn't appeal to me at all. She's basically reduced the entire year into a complex series of rigorous and inflexible rituals. If that fits your definition of "advanced magic", you'll enjoy this book.
Ms Moura is fantastic for people that are just getting into Green Witchcraft. If she wasn't so far from where I live I would attend her workshops
This has been an amazing addition to my collection. Lots of information.
I started reading this book only to find out in the introduction that this book is more for advanced practitioners of the craft. I am building my library of Wicca/Witchcraft materials and probably could have waited until later to purchase the book. However, the book has a wealth of information that when I am ready to delve into Lunar Magic , this will be an excellent teaching tool.
Like the way this author explains the whole process of witchcraft. I would recommend this book to anyone who is wanting to get a deeper understanding of the craft.
