First off, let me be clear...I LOVE this woman's work. I have gleefully used her magical 2018 planner to chart a better life for myself. Everyone who has seen it has commented on how beautiful it is...I had a blast coloring it in and then writing in my observations on each and every page. I hope Ms. Cesari keeps making these! However....The 2019 planner was SUCH a disappointment when it arrived. No spiral binding! The bound version (the only version available when I ordered) has the wonderful paper quality, and of course, the fun drawings and supportive writings of the previous planner. But the binding is NOT up to daily use. I have just completed coloring in the entire planner...getting it ready to use for the 2019 year...and it has already fallen apart! Damn!A friend noted that later in 2018 a spiral version of the 2019 planner became available and ordered it. However, this must have been a rush job, as this version greatly suffers from very poor paper quality. Since we actually use and handle these planners, now we are both stuck! Neither planner is up to snuff.Please, please, if this delightful magical planner is to continue...PLAN FOR IT BETTER! I am holding mine together with giant clips, and my friend can use only light pencil in hers as the paper bleeds through. Both are not very useful for actual planner usage.
Already started coloring! The paper quality rocks and the artwork is gorgeous. Perfect for this year! Will be using it as a planner for all of my witchy planning only. The book seems more aimed towards followers of Wicca, which I am not (Asatru), so I don't have the same sabbaths or deities referenced in the book. It's fine by me either way, as I will be using it just as a fun themed planner. It is gorgeous and I do recommend it to beginners. Each month contains easy to remember info on animals, plants, and color correspondence as well as many great simple self-care spells. I have been practicing for almost a decade and wish I had this when I started out. 10/10, I plan on buying one again next year and can't wait to kick into this year!
Edit: whoops I just realized that there's a spiral bound version but it's twice as expensive LOLNOPE. It cost $2.99 and a bit of patience to bind it myself.Almost perfect except the glue binding is not ideal for coloring. Sometimes the spine eats part of the edge of a picture or sometimes you get rub off from coloring a page on the ones below it because they're so tightly packed. I carefully unbound mine (exacto knife, ruler, scissors, cutting board, and patience) and took it to an office store to be spiral bound. It now lays flat so I color more easily and I can keep the page I'm coloring separate so there's no pressure on others. I recommend doing this type of binding for 2020 and beyond.Otherwise, the illustrations are lovely and fun to color. I look forward to reading more of the content and growing my witchy self in 2019.
This is my second year to have the pleasure to use Amy Cesari's Planner. I know I will love this one as much as I did the 2018 edition. All of the art work looks wonderful, fun and inspiring. Cannot wait to start coloring in it as the new physical year begins. The paper quality is very good and the ink is not smudging off on my hands at all. Last year I did order the spiral bound. This year by accident I ordered the hard bound. When I realized this I thought about changing my order but the difference in cost was enough to keep me with the hard bound. Both Styles are Available! I love her books and look forward to spending many more years with Amy, her amazing artwork, and my colored pencils!
Just received today. I have skimmed through it and can't wait to start using it. The monthly calendar is large enough to put all my important info in and allow me to see what's going on at a glance. The weekly pages gives me lots of space daily to record important information plus there is space for my daily tarot reading. Plus there is so many different things to color. I am glad I spent the extra money to get the spiral bound one because I find it easier to write in. I haven't read all the information, spells, crafts etc. But just skimming through they look like they will be interesting
Get the spiral one. Yes, it's worth it. I looked at the other magickal planners and they had more information than I needed. Although they have their value, they just weren't for me. I really like the coloring aspect of this one and its simplicity. You will need to use coloring pencils rather than gel pens or markers for this. Also recommend getting a sturdy book cover so that it stays in good condition throughout the year. My video has additional information if you care to watch it. BB ~â¤ï¸~
The paper is impossible to color and have it look good at all. The pictures are simple and cute. The contents of the book are nice. I would not have purchased if I had seen it in person first.
I am super excited for this. I need a planner that won't be so boring for me and won't just get thrown into my backpack. It's also good because it'll help me keep track of the wiccan events as well as the hundreds of others I forget because I have all my reminders on different places. The drawings are adorable, there's actual room to write events down, and it's informational. I'm so excited to color this whole planner.
